I sincerely doubt it will really cool area of ​​450 square feet, but he does a great job for my room upstairs ... that's all I was really worried. My room has a 13 "x 12" or 156 square feet and lasts for about one hour from 85 F to 69 F. Setting up a breeze. The only problem I had was with the window exhaust kit. The expandable PVC plastic window assembly was not long enough for the full height of the window of my room to cover ... is about 5 inches too short. I had to cover that space with a piece of plastic cut to size and duct tape in place. One thing I dislike about this unit is the placement of the exhaust hose ... on the back. Some units on the top of the device, so you can use the device almost flat against the wall. On the back of my unit protrudes about one and half meters from the wall, which ensures you around a little pain in the back .. but hey, at least I have cool in summer:). Partially recommended by a friend and share cos I love the sleek design. It came in a tall serious looking box and I was able to unpack and plug it relatively quickly. The device itself is a beautiful metallic finish. Now for the real test. Temperature, as shown in the last minute 87degrees turn the unit on top and put it to 70degrees. The room I'm cooling is not very large, but has about the closet space I'm trying ot 25sqft additional fresh, so that the area is 280-300 sqfeet and 12 feet high ceilings.
