By Mona Lisa I like this fan because it blends in with the ceiling and doesn't look like a big ugly ceiling fan with stupid looking ugly lights on it. No "fake" wooden blades. No ugly brass. It's about as "simple" as you can get, quiet as it could possibly be, and inexpensive. It is my opinion that ceiling fans should be "felt" and not seen or heard! We put this in a guest bedroom and it replaced a hideous looking LOUD "Hampton Bay" from Home Depot that was quite frankly shameful. lol My husband did not understand why I chose no lights on it until it was installed and he could see how much nicer the room looked just with lamp lighting and no ugly fan lights. 22 of 22 people found the following review helpful. Moves air - quietly By P. Marshall Replaced an older fan which was noisy and didn't move much air unless set to the highest speed (where it added vibration to the noise). The new Hunter is silent (all you can hear is the blades moving the air) and is totally vibration free without installing the balancing kit. 21 of 22 people found the following review helpful. Attractive and functional By D. Worrell We bought two of these for our office and they are simply attractive, run so quietly we forget it's on, and move the air quite well on three speeds. Although not mentioned anywhere in the literature, they are wired to accept a light kit. We purchased a Hunter light kit for one of the fans, and it works perfectly. See all 65 customer reviews...
Squirrel Cage Fans (180 CFM)
180 CFM Squirrel Cage Exhaust Fan. Exhaust fans are the most efficient way to combat both C02 loss and high temperatures, two things that can hinder your plants. They are set up to either blow air to another room or down a long tube to the outdoors. How do you know what size you need? Calculate the CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) by dividing the cubic footage in your grow room by five. The blower you will choose based on this will be large enough to replace all of the air in the room in five minutes.

Highly recommended By Valeri Morgan This is truly a "whisper quiet" heater that is great for the period just before the winter and probably during early spring. It works very well, and increases the room temperature quickly enough. It is not meant to be the main heater but it is great as a secondary and fast heating device. Highly recommended. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Don't buy this heater By Chandler I had about the same experience as a previous poster. I received the heater, opened the box and the heater was filthy. It was covered with dirt and fingerprints and looked like it was used for a year. But since I paid so much for shipping I decided to at least give it a try and was very disappointed. It say's you can adjust the temperature to whatever temp you want (up to 85 degrees). I bought it to put under my desk at work because it is so cold in my office. I get cold very easily and I sit right under the office air conditioner, so I set it to the highest temp, 85. It wouldn't go past 72 degrees which is the temperature of the office and the fan just shut off. When I tried adjusting it again, nothing happened. I couldn't adjust the temp up or down, or even shut it off completely (the manual say's you can shut it off by holding the mode button for 2 seconds). The only way to change the temp was to unplug it for 10 minutes. I am sending this back today. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Very quiet By M. Wilkerson There are more efficient space heaters on the market with more accurate thermostats, but this heater is incredibly quiet and heats well. It is not a perfect heater, but I could not find a better heater to use in the bedroom due to the fact it is so quiet. I was surprised to find that there were no or very few other fan driven space heaters out there which have a digital thermostat and are quiet. One small negative about this unit is that the thermostat is located close to the heating element which causes the heater to cycle on a off a bit more than others. In basic the thermostat registers the temperature inside the unit instead of the temperature of the room. But since it is whisper quiet, that is not a big issue. The thermostat readjusts after it cools a little and then the heater turns on again. Another small drawback is that when you turn off the heater and then turn it on again, you have to reset the thermostat settings. That is a very small issue, but I am not certain why they could not make put a thermostat in the unit that does not have to be readjusted each time it is turned on. I bought another heater that heats the room a bit faster and did not cycle on and off. But that heater was too loud. I place this heater fairly close to my nightstand and cannot hear it turning on or off. To be used for heating a bedroom, I recommend the use of this unit. As other reviewers have stated, mine also arrived covered with fingerprints and a layer of dust. At first, I thought it may have been used before, but after inspecting the heating element and the condition of the unit after I cleaned it up, I realized it was completely new and had not previously been used. It had simply acquired the dust and fingerprints in whatever packaging process the company used. Some buyers may inaccurately assumed their units were previously used simply because of the dusty condition of the units when first taken out of the box. As with the unit I purchased, it simply required a dusting before first using it. See all 10 customer reviews...
Seabreeze 3200-0 Turbo-Aire
Turbo-Aire is the world's first aerodynamic household fan. It's patented jet inspired design produces a powerful, focused column of air which actually draws in surrounding air to increase its velcoity. Turbo-Aire delivers 100% more air than other conventionally designed fans with comparable motors, and is 200% to 300% more energy efficient. Remarkably, Turbo-Aire is whisper quiet on all three speeds, and consumes less energy than a 100-watt lightbulb, even when operating at full throttle. At 20 feet, Turbo-Aire delivers over 11,000 cubic feet of air per minute!

Amazon.com Review Inspired by the design of jet engines, the Seabreeze Turbo-Aire helps cool rooms, improve ventilation, and send stale air packing. The very powerful unit features an aerodynamic design with a curved air inlet--this helps draw in the maximum amount of air with the least obstruction and noise. The fan has three speeds, of which the lowest two are quite quiet for their power. Anyone hot enough to need the third setting probably won’t mind its smooth but firmly audible whirring. Stably secured to a tubular steel base, the fan can be set on a tabletop, placed on the floor, or mounted to the wall (bracket sold separately). The head’s 90-degree rotation lets you direct the breeze where you want it, and a tightening dial secures the fan in its chosen position. Equipped with a built-in carrying handle, the fan’s durable plastic housing measures 15-1/2 inches in diameter; its projected column of air is 12 inches across. --Emily Bedard

The Seabreeze appears to move more air and have lower noise. Neither unit is truly "Whisper Quiet", but the Seabreeze appears to do a better job. 11 of 11 people found the following review helpful. Best fan I ever had By Ronald Stiteler This is an exact duplicate of the fans I bought from Toastmaster years ago called "Aero Stream". They were so good I bought four. I still have three. They are quiet, move more air, and consume less energy than any I have ever had. Like Vornado fans, (my other favorite), the airstream is compacted and travels a great distance without spreading out. In Florida fans get a lot of use and these have had plenty. 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful. Amazing power for the price. By Mark Rogers This little fan really blows! :) A unique design focuses the air column without letting it spread out too much, so what you get is a very windy "tube" of air, enough to make your ears roar from more than 10 ft away. I bought this fan for a very specific purpose, photography, and it packs plenty of punch to get a models hair moving without needing to be right up on the subject. I usually put it on the floor about 8 feet away or so and it does the trick just fine, on the medium setting. From 20 ft, I had the vertical blinds fluttering wildly about. It is also very quiet and and energy efficient, so thats a nice plus. I highly recommend this fan if you need to move a lot of air and don't want to pay over $1000.00 for a wind machine, or just want to cool yourself on a hot day and don't need anything oscillating. I am totally happy with it. See all 22 customer reviews...
