By Chris Conner Whynter 12000 BTU Dual Hose environmentally portable air conditioner with heater, White Frost (ARC 12SDH) We bought this back in September and took it again recently for the heating function. Beautifully designed machine that a clean, modern look. The display is a hidden LCD bands that are simple and understandable, but a denial of information and meaningless statistics. Although it is easy to roll around, you have to get help when lifting more than a foot. Window kit was of good quality and the overall attitude was much easier. Just connect hoses to connect the kit to assemble and perfect the kit in the window opening. Cools great. I use it especially in the room of the babies and occasionally in the study. The double tube design helps with energy efficiency and overall cold or heat. Both rooms are on the 18x18 and has no problems cooling this equipment in a room a comfortable temperature 95F in less than 30 minutes, I'm surprised that the rate of cooling of the device actually 20% -30% faster than any other I have 14 000 BTU. Nothing scientific, but my wife noticed the significant difference. The heating option is not difficult to heat, but it works perfectly as a warm up to if you do not crank central heating. Central air conditioning is available, but extremely wasteful in a 2500sq ft house. Refused to take into account the previous negative experiences given window (let's just say he took a fall down) This will be my second Whynter laptop in less than 10 years. My first was a strange looking device worked wonderfully for many years before we gave it away when we had to move abroad. Shape and design of this drive was pleasant and generally undervalued.
