Do what is expected of Barrett This fan has been almost perfect for what we needed to do, but at the same time, no "wow" and I exceeded my expectations (which is good). My room was much warmer than the rest of my apartment shared by my many gadgets, so I needed a way to cool my room, regardless of the apartment AC / heater settings, and this helped in the sense fan. In fact, it is to shoot a breeze feels cooler than my other fans (not cold) does, and is much quieter. Because of the evaporative cooling work, cooling capacity varies depending on factors such as humidity (works best with less moisture, because it allows more evaporation). If you use this in an enclosed space for a long period of time, the humidity rises, making it less effective, and even make the air feel warmer (sweat works the same way, the humidity so high that you make feel warmer) that said, I've used several times during the night without realizing these potential side effects. Read the Wikipedia article for "cooler" to better understand how to let you know in advance whether or not it will be beneficial to you. Pros:-cools the air in a non-wet generally quiet (on bass)-Easy to use: Unlike an air conditioner, it cools in a closed environment - water and have the time, while the humidity is very high. Wet-air (well, if the air is very dry). Pros:-moistens the air (bad if the air is already wet). -Can 't adjust the vertical direction of the wind, so I have to put something for which I get in my bed. -The tone of the fan is kind of annoying on low and medium speeds is not enough for me, so it's not a problem. My first fan, and stronger, had a less tedious. -When the cooling is turned on, you can hear the running water. And 'perfect for me and is actually kind of soothing (it seems that my mini-fountain that I have for the background), but it is something to consider. This is not a problem when you're just using it as a cooling fan without turning. 35 of 40 people found this review helpful. Its good but not great by A. Burd I just got this thing today, July 22, 2009. It 'very good. His practice as a super fan. It will make your room a little 'cooler than a fan, but it used to be really cold, like a laptop ac. I put a lot of ice in there and is a bit 'cooler. It 'a box with gel ice within the ice. Basically, you put it in the freezer and put it back in the box, and keeps the water cold. The gel to keep the ice colder longer. I do not have the opportunity to try ice box yet, but it will certainly help, $ 99 is a big fan, but if you want it for really cold, you will need a portable ac If a fan 4 / 10, then it would be a 6 or 7 with lots of ice, and a portable ac is 10/10. Im going to play with him more and see if I can beat it with ice cold. I think thatll much better. Hope this helps. If you buy air-n-Water, you get free shipping on it and everything you buy, as long as in your shopping cart. I saved $ 50 shipping on my laptop because I bought them all. I paid $ 89 for it with the Summer of Code. I am very happy with it and in the purchase of at least two more tonight, but stick with my poor laptop ac in my room at night for some real "Alaska" cold haha. 16 of 18 customers found this review helpful. Works well and very quietly by Matthew Dunn It works really well. It's not as good as AC (do you really expect to be there?), But it's better than just a fan. Frozen gel pack helps to cool things, it's also fun, because it is very quiet, especially compared to the SPT swamp cooler I bought two years ago. I recommend this for small spaces. We use it for our bedroom and we have extremely hot summers. See all 19.
