A very quiet unit, you can hardly hear the compressor kicking on. Perfect for the bedroom .... 12x14. The noise is less than a box fan. I let it run 24 / 7 and surprisingly has no effect on the electric bill a lot, seems really effective. I had to tilt the unit after the initial installation due to a sloshing sound from the fan in the back of the unit. This was achieved by the fan caused the water lapping. The device must be nice and level. The buttons on the front are easy to clean, and the remote is the same way, with its flat design. The filter is cleaned and comes out easily. Fryer has a fresh air / recirculate switch as some of the bigger models. From the large amounts of moisture from the room, he pulls it out I'm the only recirculate. After a few days without rain in a small room at night, you can leave it with a dry throat and irritated sinuses from the low humidity in the chamber 66 of 66 customers found this review helpful. Sunpentown 7000BTU 9000BTU Danby and A: By far exceeded my expectations cherry blue Before buying the Frigidaire I'd bought two portable air conditioners. Both were totally unable to make a 12x14 space by more than 3-4 degrees, even after running all night. She blew cold air, but for some reason, the game has never been cooler. One night he was even hotter in the room with the band on all cylinders, as it turned out was when we awoke in the morning! I did not want a window unit, because I work from home and I wanted to be able to run the AC and forth between the bedroom and my office. In the midst of a major heat wave, I'm desperate and installed the Frigidaire 6000BTU in the room so I can get some sleep. I discovered that the ambient temperature of 72 degrees (100 + outside and moist during a heat wave more) in about 90 minutes I was so amazed at how much better than others I immediately bought another one for the office. The total cost of these units were windows well over fifty dollars more than buying a laptop. The installation was a bit 'more difficult with the Frigidaire window units, and vinyl windows because I had to cut two wooden blocks to anchor the CA so that you do not have lives vinyl itself (which voids the warranty). This principle applies to any window units. However, installation time is slightly longer, definitely worth a Frigidaire because: - It is much cheaper - it is much quieter - it cools the room quickly enough when the other is not cool at all - is more efficient, which means that it is cheaper - and as a bonus, the city where I live offers a discount for EnergyStar appliances I was a little excited about the installation of this unit with vinyl windows, but there are a lot of good tutorials out there, if you put Google to work, and at the end was much easier than I thought total no-brainer. . . This device is fantastic and a great deal. 56 of 59 people found this review helpful. Note: The dimensions of the Amazon are incorrect. It is 14 cm in height by the ghost of Great Faulkner This unit is 14.7 inches tall, and not 12.5 as indicated. If you have a standard window, will not be a problem, but it could be a problem for smaller windows (ie, basements, bathrooms). I bought another drive for that reason, I can not comment on this unit, apart from size 12.5-inch If you have a 6000 BTU unit, Amazon has the Frigidaire FAA064P7A to about the same price. I bought it and was well on my window and I am very happy. All 61 reviews ....
