Powerful but noisy By Arlo Leach, I have a home office in a wind that is blazing hot in summer and draughty in winter, and this powerful heater / air conditioner can quickly get the space to a comfortable temperature year round. Unfortunately, the device is quite high. AC fan (which runs continuously even when the compressor is off) is so loud I had to turn it off when you call. And the heater (which turns off completely when not in a heat cycle) makes such a piercing sound when it comes to that I jump out of my seat every time. AC noise would not be a problem if it was farther away from my desk, but if I had this in a bedroom there's no way I could sleep with the heater noise. Furthermore, although the device is marketed that do not need a water tank or drain for air conditioning, it does sometimes leak water on the floor. Place a baking tray or aluminum foil under a makeshift solution easy, but it took me a while to realize what was happening, despite these concerns, I'd buy the same unit again because of its environmental features. The twin-tube design makes it more efficient, and the refrigerant does not damage the ozone layer. Unless the noise would be a problem in your situation, I recommend. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. It works well in Tucson ... By TJ does not normally write about products, but it deserves a good idea. We just bought this apartment for my son, who has only the cooling by evaporation (no value in the desert during the monsoon). His place is a loft in an old brick warehouse - very insulted, high ceilings. It was easy to install by venting through a window with hinges of age (using accessories foam board and a little duct tape to seal an opening irregularly). We expect that high, but were very pleasantly surprised by how smoothly it ran at full speed of the fan with the compressor in 20 minutes in the loft above - an area of 600 square meters - was much more cold in the area near the device and further noticebly cold. I hope he does well after running overnight. It will be up to 107 degrees and humid this week (wet for us is more than 40%), so we'll see how he is the worst that Tucson has to offer to handle. Does the review later this week (if I remember correctly), but expect a good performance based on what we have experienced so far. Moreover, with the first, we asked this yesterday $ 3.99, as he had done during the night. He came from Washington state and came to three hours ... all 110 pounds of him. Very well packed.
