I put the camera 70 degrees and it would constantly freeze (which means the ice is formed after about 1 hour). I noticed that the device more air drawn into the room blew. Enter upon delivery, I sealed everything in the room as closely as I could (insulation, foam, etc.) and made two other rooms. He succeeded in the room (12 x 16) cool, but is still ice in the days of 100 + degrees (70 degrees to camera). HP: I switched mid-October. Today (December 10), all the lights are flashing on the front panel and turn the power off and do not want to use the power button on the control panel. I pulled out of the wall and let stand for one hour. So again (hours later), but the device would be all the lights on and off without any control of power [...] I'm waiting for service to the customer in touch with me to see how they react to guarantee 1 year. I'll try to write what has happened to keep consumers informed. 3 of 3 people found this review helpful. Stay cool with Michael P. Lefand I bought this unit two days ago, when the temperature in a recreation room (fully insulated, which measures 35 'x 17' or 595 square feet. Note: The unit is rated at 550 square meters) above my garage reached temperatures of 98 100 degrees in the last heat wave in New Jersey. The reason I bought "Air Conditioner Soleus heat pump" is because I wanted the duality of an air conditioner and heat. The setup was not difficult, window mounting kit that fits in the window should be shot, as required by the instructions to fit the window. It took about 5 minutes to measure and cut. Set the total time was about 35 minutes of that time was spent 20 minutes trying to understand instructions. The instructions are not the best. There is a drain hose from the unit which is not mentioned anywhere in the instructions. The unit control panel and digital display, easy-to-use remote control. The unit also has a timer and shutters that swing up and down to circulate the air. What is not mentioned in the general instructions, but in the instructions is that the timer at a distance and the oscillator can not be accessed by remote control. However, this is not insurmountable. After a few minutes of flipping back and forth between pages can be included. The fan kit comes with the device must be provided to put the sealant between the panel and the window exhaust. Fortunately, I had some foam rubber gasket to ensure a good seal. Moreover, it is a tight fit between the window sill and exhaust hose kit that fits in the window after I had with the unit I insulated exhaust hose flexible PVC as directed. The hose gets very hot and the heat will radiate back to the bedroom, so insulation makes sense. Today, as I'm writing this, July 22, 2011, 13:00, is 101 degrees outside in the shade and very wet. In the room over the garage "Soleus" unit is maintaining a constant 82 degrees with 54 percent humidity. I consider that good, the main part of my house has central air set 72 degrees and she is struggling to keep the temperature at 74 degrees. I consider the "Soleus" unit to be working pretty good for a portable air conditioner with the outside extremely high temperature. I expect better results when the temperature drops to a low of 90, where it is normal for the summer here. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Nice unit, no water problems by M. Reverman Bought this unit in spring 2010 and used it for about a year now I have only used it to cool not heat. Installation: Unit comes with an adjustable 5" tall PVC vent. I had to cut it down to fit my small window which was not.
