I live in the Deep South (Georgia), where the sweltering summer heat index (H + heating near 100% humidity), often reaches 130 or more - and no air conditioning. For me, a big fan of the whole house a window like this makes all the difference between comfort and hell in July and August roll around (which is July 27th as I write this, and I'm sitting near the window with the fan upon him). This is truly a house window fan, and costs much less to operate than an air conditioner. Compared to the center of the A / C, I save more than a hundred dollars a month, which is more than $ 600 per year every year, money better spent elsewhere!
