Power consumption is about 1 amp, 1.5 amps and 2.6 amps for the 3 speeds. I doubt that, the highest setting, which is good at creating a breeze to use. Can not speak for durability. Everything is plastic, so I did not let him fall or get knocked around. The feet are a little fragile, so I plan to fill empty spaces with epoxy. They break down the scale for the feet to burst. Spivey Toyota I have a small RV. Most 12-volt fan that I used are small and not very useful. This is a real fan moves plenty of air and has a power consumption that can my 30-watt solar module almost match fan has three speeds useful. I bought to use a fan if I can not use my air conditioner, because I'm not through an electrical connection and run my generator too high for the conditions. I now also have the fan circulate the air in my RV really hot days, although I can run my air conditioner. I have also often used outdoors (I have a handy plug-12V) The "feet" of the fan fold out of the way so it is easy to store. We have tried to find a 12V fan to the cabin of our boat. We needed a safe one, because the chance for small children put their fingers too close, and those who actually stuck breeze.This one is perfect.
