The apartment is 33'long and the windows at one end. The first unit I had was not cooling at all. Delonghi said it must be defective and the store I purchased from replaced it. The 2nd unit is "working", but does not cool my apt. The manufacturer claims it is for up to 450 square feet. I think it would work well in a perfectly square enclosed room of 175' with no heat sources. The temperature in my apt before turning it on was 89. After 4 hours of running it, the temperature around the unit was 85. 15 feet away it was 88. I had 3 fans also running to try and circulate the cool air that is coming out of the unit. Overnight I set the thermostat to 80. It never reached that temperature to shut off. The thermostat seems accurate because when I turn it up it shuts off at the same temperature my room thermometer reads. See all 1 customer reviews...
